Motor Transport Institute

Motor Transport Institute began its activity in 1952, upon the issue of the regulation No. 593 by the Council of Ministers, on the 17-th of July 1952, published in Monitor Polski A-7/1952.

The Institutes activities are country wide. Research problems, the Institute have dealt with over the past 55 years were constantly changing. They were a result of the national economy needs as well as transport ones together with technical and organizational progress both within the economy and transport.

At present, strategic directions of the Institute's activities are first of all:

• organization, functioning and effectiveness of the road transport
• safety improvements for the road traffic participants
• limiting negative environmental impact of the road transport development
• innovative design and material solutions for the road transport means, their elements as well as service materials.
