Director of ITS on the Transport Committee of the PAN

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Marcin Ślęzak, director of the Motor Transport Institute (ITS), was elected a member of the Transport Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). This decision was made as a result of the elections that ended on November 24, 2023.

In accordance with the provisions of the "Regulations on the procedure for electing members and bodies of scientific committees", adopted by the Presidium of the Polish Academy of Sciences on September 26, 2023, the elections covered 71 Scientific Committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Prof. Marcin Ślęzak joined the 30-person Transport Committee. All Committees, including the Transport Committee, will begin their terms in 2024.

The Transport Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences, established in 1972, focuses on: shaping, operation, economics and modernization of transport systems; managing the operation of transport systems; transport process technology; technical means used (infrastructure and rolling stock); rail, road, air and water transport; multimodal transport corridors; transport in urban agglomerations.
