The ITS hosted a delegation from CDV – Centrum dopravního výzkumu, v.v.i. (Transport Research Centre) in Brno, including:

• Dr. Jindřich Frič – Director of CDV
• Dr. Veronika Valentová – Director for Research, Development and Technology Transfer
• Dr. Pavel Řezáč – Director of the Department of Transport Technology and Human Factors

The visit focused on exchanging experience and identifying areas for future scientific cooperation. The programme included presentations of both institutions, a tour of selected ITS laboratories and research centres, and discussions on potential joint research initiatives.

The meeting resulted in outlining research areas in which both institutes plan to collaborate in the near future.

CDV is a public research organisation supervised by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic. It supports national, regional and local transport development needs. Its expertise covers road safety, construction and maintenance technologies for transport infrastructure (including geotechnics and structural diagnostics), environmental impacts of transport, transport economics, multimodal transport, transport psychology, road safety education, transport demand modelling, GIS systems, dispatching and parking systems, telematics, intelligent mobility and emerging transport technologies.
