Awards and distinctions

Some of the awards and distinctions received by Motor Transport Institute in the last few years. 

Minister of the Interior and Administration Mariusz Błaszczak, at the request of the Chief of Police superintendent. dr. Jaroslaw Szymczyk, has awarded "Medal of Merit for the Police" for the Director of the Institute - Prof. Marcin Slezak -  for the activities of raising the Police efficiency. The Presidium of the Transport Sobriety Society  awarded, in recognition of merit of Przemysław Skoczyński from the Motor Transport Institute, with a medal commemorating the 60th anniversary of Society
Motor Transport Institute was awarded "Titanium Wings" in the framework of Warsaw Industry Week 2016. The statue was received at the hands of the organizers of Asst. Prof. Marcin Ślęzak, PhD, Eng. Prof of MTI - Director of the Institute. Diploma for Tadeusz Szymczak for the second place in the competition for the most beautiful poster XXVII Symposium on Experimental Mechanics of Solids for his work entitled An Influence of Strain Rate And Artificial Defects on Material Behaviour During Tension

During the anniversary ceremony of the Polish Road Committee, which took place on 13 May 2015 in Kielce, for the first time were awarded honorable mentions of the association "Merit for the road cause". One of the honored was prof. Ryszard Krystek, Deputy Director for Science from MTI.

"Laur Innovation 2015" them. Stanislaw Staszic for the best innovative products for "First in Poland mobile installation upgrading biogas to biomethane quality"
The book "Polish road transport. Market-cost-prices " written by MTI authors: Phd. Krystyna Bentkowska-Senator, prof. Zdzislaw Kordel, Phd. Jerzy Waśkiewicz received an award in the category: monography. The award for the best book of transport category, published in the academic year 2012/2013, has admitted Minister of Infrastructure and Development - Elżbieta Bieńkowska.

In the 29th international symposium "Danubia-Adria Symposium on Advances in Experimental Mechanics" MIT employees received the first prize for Best Presentation.

Gold Medal of the Poznań International Trade Fair for the Foundry Institute and PANCERMET consortium, whose member, the Motor Transport Institute is, for a "Passive composite protective armour". The Governor’s of the City of  Oława Award to Ewa Dębicka, PhD – ITS’s Deputy Director for Development and Asst. Prof. Marcin Ślęzak, PhD, Eng. – General Director of ITS, for the driver of the most ecological vehicle participating in the III Polish Ecological Rally.

The distinction award for the Motor Transport Institute (consortium partner) implementing the development project entitled: "The development of modules and flexible materials of high strength and ballistic resistance for the use with the crossing bridges".

Gold medal of the World Innovation Exhibition - BRUSSELS EUREKA 2012 for the Foundry Institute and PANCERMET consortium whose member, the Motor Transport Institute is, for a "Passive composite protective armour".
Motor Transport Institute was awarded a distinction in gratitude for his help in the construction of the Monument to the Victims of Traffic Accidents and Crime. Silver Medal of Distinguished Service to the Police awarded to the Director of Motor Transport Institute - Andrzej Wojciechowski, PhD, Eng. on the decision (4/K/2012 of the 09.07.2012) of the Minister of the Internal Affairs.
Commemorative Medal awarded to the Director of Motor Transport Institute - Andrzej Wojciechowski, PhD, Eng. on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the Foundry Research Institute in Cracow.

Gold Medal of Distinguished Service to the Liga Obrony Kraju awarded to the Director of Motor Transport Institute - Andrzej Wojciechowski, PhD, Eng. on the Board decision (nr 56 of the 16.12.2011).

Commemorative Medal awarded to the Director of Motor Transport Institute - Andrzej Wojciechowski, PhD, Eng. for a Distinguished Service to Mechanical Faculty of the Military Technical Academy. Motor Transport Institute was awarded the medal – “60 years of the Polish Automobile Association” to commemorate the Jubilee and the role of ITS in building the position and accomplishments of the Association.

Bronze Medal of Distinguished Service to the Police awarded to the Director of Motor Transport Institute - Andrzej Wojciechowski, PhD, Eng. on the occasion of celebrating 90-th anniversary of the Police formation.

Commemorative Medal awarded to the Director of the Motor Transport Institute - Andrzej Wojciechowski, PhD, Eng. by the Justice Minister of the Republic of Poland.

 

Motor Transport Institute was awarded a distinction for co-organising 34-th International Congress on Powertrains and Transport Means EUROPEAN KONES 2008). Gold Medal of International Poznań Trade Fair for the “Aluminium ALFA brake discs, reinforced with fly ashes ", Foundry Institute - Cracow, Motor Transport Institute - Warsaw.
    Diploma awarded in 2009 to the Motor Transport Institute and Foundry Institute, by the Minister of Science and Higher Education on the XVI Trade Show of Polish Inventions distinguished in 2008 with medals on the world exhibitions, for the solution"Ultra light aluminium Alfa brake discs, reinforced with fly ashes of high service parameters".     Diploma awarded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education on the XV Trade Show of Polish Inventions distinguished in 2007 with medals on the World Inventions Trade Shows .
Gold Medal with distinction from the Society of Polish Inventors and rationalisers for the solution - „Ultra light aluminium Alfa brake discs, reinforced with fly ashes of high service parameters" Jerzy Sobczak, Andrzej Wojciechowski, Robert Purgert, Paweł Darłak, Dariusz Rudnik. Ministry of Science and Higher Education Award for the international invention achievements received during exhibition at the Museum of Technology on the 10 of March 2008.
Special distinction at the International Inventiveness Trade Show - „CONCOURS - LEPINE 2008 – Medal of the Association of French Inventors and Manufacturers for the material construction solution - „Ultra light aluminium Alfa brake discs, reinforced with fly ashes of high service parameters "- Jerzy Sobczak, Andrzej Wojciechowski, Robert Purgert, Paweł Darłak, Dariusz Rudnik. Gold Medal with distinction on the 56-th World Trade-fair for Inventiveness, Scientific Research and New Technologies Brussels EUREKA to the Foundry Institute and Motor Transport Institute for the "Ultra light aluminium Alfa brake discs, reinforced with fly ashes of high service parameters” - Jerzy Sobczak, Paweł Darłak, Andrzej Wojciechowski, Dariusz Rudnik.
St. Christopher’s Steering Wheel awarded to the Motor Transport Institute (Prize winner in the VII Edition of the Competition) for a great contribution to improving road traffic safety, effective co-operation with MIVA Polska and Drivers’ Chaplaincy of Poland in the actions aimed at limiting dangers on the roads and long standing support for the Polish missionaries in the procurement of the transport means.     Silver Medal in the "Mechanics and Material Engineering" category, for the "Modern aluminium brake discs, reinforced with silicon carbide particles, significantly extending their service life" awarded during the 5-th International Trade-fair, INNOVATIONS 2003.
Cristal Flask 2007 awarded to the team of employees from the Centre for Material Testing of the Motor Transport Institute for the credibility and effective research and development activity (distinction awarded by the editors of the LAB magazine). Gold Medal for the presented at the International Innovation, New Technologies and Economic co-operation Trade-fair - INVEST-TECHNOLOGY "Composite pistons for the new generation internal combustion engines obtained using waste-free press moulding technology in the liquid state".
Distinction in the competition - Polish Product of the Future 2002 in the category: Technology of the Future – Aluminium composite brake discs and drums. Gold Medal for the "Composite brake discs, reinforced with silicon carbide particles, significantly extended service life" presented on the International Innovation, New Technologies and Economic co-operation Trade-fair - INVEST-TECHNOLOGY.
